In the case of Nolan and K. v Russia the applicant alleged violation of Article 9, Article 14 taken in conjunction with Article 9, Article 8, Article 5, Article 1 of Protocol 7 of the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms. In its judgment from 12 February 2009 the European Court of Human Rights found violation of Article 9, Article 8, Article 5 § 1, Article 5 § 5 and Article 1 of Protocol 7 of the Convention and obliged the respondent State to pay 810 euros for costs and expenses suffered by the applicant, as well as for non-pecuniary damage in the amount of 7,000 euros.
