Armenian Institute for Development has undertaken the eighth meeting of lawyers network (second for 2010) within the framework of the “Strategic litigation in Caucasus” project. The meeting took place on 8 May 2010 in Yerevan at the premises of ABA/CEELI Armenian  office. This meeting has become possible with the assistance of ABA/CEELI Armenian office. From event partners there have participated Arman Poghosyan from Armenian Institute for Development and Kregg Halstead and Gayleen Mkrtchyan form ABA/CEELI Armenian office. Overall number of fourteen lawyers participated in the event. Ara Ghazaryan and Arthur Poghosyan were invited as experts.

Ara Ghazaryan has divided his presentation into three parts, each devoted to some specific topic. Issues touched by Ara Ghazaryan have triggered active discussions amongst the participants. First, Ara Ghazaryan has made a presentation on recent reforms of the European Court of Human Rights in the light of Protocol 14 of the Convention. Second topic of Ara Ghazaryan was devoted to presentation of the latest judgment of the European Court of Human Rights on Armenia: Mamikonyan v Armenia (16/03/2010). Lastly, Ara Ghazaryan has presented the latest developments on some "new circumstances" case procedures after the corresponding judgments of the European Court of Human Rights.

During the second part of the meeting Arthur Poghosyan has made a presentation concerning ex officio determination by the Administrative court of facts in the case. Apart from the presentation Arthur Poghosyan has also answered to a lots of questions of the participants on different issues concerning either administrative or civil procedural questions.
